The Q-Sub 2400
The Q-Sub 2400 is a revolutionary, WORLD FIRST, 2-MAN PLANING SUBMARINE capable of travelling at over 20 knots on the surface, and diving to a depth of 400 ft. The innovative design eliminates many logistical problems associated with conventional small submersibles.
The Q-Sub has been carefully engineered to make exploring underwater easy and enjoyable. It has the same familiar seating position as a car, and the large side windows allow easy, unobstructed viewing of passing sea life and underwater scenery. The unique lightweight design of the Q-Sub allows it to travel quickly along the surface of the water like a speed boat, allowing multiple dives at different locations and eliminating the restrictions of other personal submersibles.
There is increasing interest in submarines as we realise the critical role oceans play in maintaining the health of the planet. Over 80% of the world's oceans remain unmapped, unobserved and unexplored. Manned submersibles remain the best and most immersive way to take in the full experience of this underwater world.
Safety is extremely important - the Q-Sub design complies with internationally recognised ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) and GL engineering standards, and there are multiple levels of redundancy and safety systems to make sure every dive is as safe as possible.
The Q-Sub's design makes it ideal for exploration, photography, underwater inspection jobs, or for simply having fun, as its large windows and unmatched agility proves it to be the finest of underwater technology.

Trailer
Each trailer is fitted with Sensa Brakes and weighs in at 400 kg total. The rollers have been spaced to rest on the frames inside the hull for long distance riding. Each country has its own laws regarding towing and with 3500 kgs limit in some countries this means that including the vehicle towing the trailer, the total weight of vehicle and trailer will exceed normal license requirements. Truck or heavy traffic license may be needed. To launch the Q-Sub, approximately 1 metre of depth is required. -
Pressure Test Facility
Q-Subs has two pressure vessels made specifically for testing submersibles and underwater equipment. The test cell is 1800mm diameter x 3300mm long which is able to test to 1000ft depth. The small chamber is 300mm diameter x 900mm long and able to test to 5000 ft depth.
